What features does the MG GS have?

The MG GS’s main attraction is its impressive practicality, comprising a 335-litre boot and plenty of cabin space throughout. Should you need even more space, you can fold down the rear seats to get a total of 1,336 litres.  

In terms of tech, the MG is well-equipped. It has plenty of old-fashioned buttons across the centre dash but also has a decent-sized infotainment screen and sat-nav, DAB radio, Bluetooth, heated seats, cruise control, parking sensors, a reversing camera, and xenon headlights.

Is the MG GS reliable?

Since SAIC Motors took over the brand in 2007, MG has been very reliable, offering high levels of dependability. 

It should be safe too, thanks to its safety features such as airbags, anti-lock brakes, automatic headlights, electronic stability control and a tyre pressure monitoring system. 

How much does the MG GS cost to run?

The GS is powered by one single engine option: a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that’s mated to either a six-speed manual or dual-clutch automatic gearbox.  

This engine produces 162hp and 184 lb-ft of torque, making it punchy enough but behind some of its hybrid rivals. 

It’s cheap to insure too, sitting in between insurance groups 16 and 17.
