What is the Ford Focus ST?

The Ford Focus ST is the lower-tier performance hatchback that sits below the top-spec Ford Focus RS. The ‘ST’ badge simply stands for ‘Sports Technologies’ and shows it offers a sportier driving feel than a regular Focus model.

What are the Ford Focus ST specs?

The full-fat Focus ST is powered by a 2.3-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 272hp and 420Nm of torque. This means it’s very responsive and punchy throughout the rev range. 

With direct steering, electronic limited slip differential and sports suspension, the overall driving experience is second to none. Whether you’re on a longer motorway slog or nipping around a B-Road, you’re in for a treat with how this car performs. 

Being a performance version of the Focus, you won’t get the best fuel economy, but it’s still a respectable claimed 36mpg, putting it on a par with its sporty rivals.
