Volkswagen was founded in 1937 and was made most famous by the Beetle – the ‘people’s car’.

To combat this, VW set out to make a car that everyone could afford, and this concept turned into a model that sold more than 23 million units until it was discontinued in 2019. 

Now, Volkswagen is one of the global automotive superpowers, owning brands such as Skoda, Bentley, Bugatti, Porsche, SEAT and Lamborghini.
