History of Renault

Renault was founded in 1898 by three brothers in France. They quickly made a name for themselves while motor racing, and ended up making cars of their own. 

By the 1970s, Renault as we know it was in full swing, producing models such as the 2CV, Renault 4 and Renault 5.  

Despite many of its rivals being bought by other companies, Renault remains on its own two feet – with significant help from the French government, which has a huge benefit.
