What features does the Renault Arkana have?

The Arkana has a plush and modern interior that puts it right up alongside its German rivals. 

Entry-level Evolution models come well-equipped with all the standard tech you’d expect to find in a car of its class, including a seven-inch central infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.  

Move up to the mid-range Techno model and you get a larger seven-inch digital driver’s display and a larger 9.3-inch infotainment screen.  

The top-of-the-range Esprit Alpine model gets all of the above plus the full leather treatment, larger alloy wheels and a heated leather steering wheel. 

No matter which trim you choose, you’ll have all the kit you could possibly need and a sporty family car that aims to impress outside of the school gates. 

Is the Renault Arkana reliable?

Renault has a good track record for reliability and does well at making cars that can now rival Mercedes and Volkswagen. 

This is partly thanks to the French manufacturer’s sister brand Dacia, which has enabled it to use tried-and-tested parts across many of its models.  

Every new Renault comes with a three-year/unlimited mileage (during the first 24 months) warranty that’s then limited to 60,000 miles (100,000 miles for electric vehicles) or three years, whichever comes first. 

These warranties are then transferred to new owners, making used examples that much more appealing. 

Following its most recent Euro NCAP crash test, the Arkana scored a full five stars thanks to its excellent onboard safety features.  

Some of these include ISOFIX child seat points, Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) systems and a host of airbags. 

How much does the Renault Arkana cost to run?

The Renault Arkana is powered by a 1.6-litre E-Tech hybrid petrol engine that benefits from self-charging hybrid capabilities, meaning you only need to pay for petrol – not any electricity.  

This helps with its overall claimed 58.9mpg figure, making it a very fuel-efficient car. 

This 142hp sporty SUV emits 108g/km of CO2, meaning you’ll pay £170 for your first year of tax, but note this will vary with used examples.  

It sits between insurance group 14 and 19, which puts it on the more affordable side of SUVs to insure.  

Who is the Renault Arkana suitable for?

We’d recommend a used Renault Arkana to the cool mums and dads out there – the kind who add a little chocolate bar to their kid’s packed lunch now and again. 

If you want to stand out from the crowd of boring SUVs at school pickup time, then the Arkana is the way to do it.
