The Tonale is a relatively new model, launching in 2022, but it’s already been updated.

What features does the Alfa Romeo Tonale have?

Starting inside, the Alfa Romeo Tonale gets twin displays – a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch driver’s display. Adaptive cruise control is standard, but higher trim levels get heated seats, leather trim, a 360-degree parking camera and premium sound. 

The entire cockpit feels very driver-focused, with soft-touch and premium materials finished in dark trims to give a sporty feel. 

As for boot space, the hybrid model has a large 500-litre space. Plug-in hybrids sacrifice some of this space for battery capacity, hence the smaller 385-litre boot. 

Is the Alfa Romeo Tonale reliable?

The Tonale might be a new car, but it shares many of its underpinnings, including engines and gearboxes, with other Stellantis group cars like Fiat and Abarth. 

It comes with a standard three-year manufacturer's warranty and eight years of battery cover for the plug-in hybrid. 

Even when this expires, used Alfa Romeo Tonale buyers can add extended warranties, such as cinchCover, to a purchase. 

How much does the Alfa Romeo Tonale cost to run?

You’d be amazed at how low your fuel bill could be driving an Alfa Romeo Tonale, because of the advanced hybrid setups.  

The 1.5-litre mild hybrid will do around 45-50mpg according to official tests, and our in-house tests showed similar figures.
