The models that create the best noise are the Stelvio and Giulia, which are still practical and comfortable to drive. All models are safe too, scoring highly among Euro NCAP crash tests. This is due to safety features such as airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, automatic emergency braking (AEB) and lane assist systems. 

What you also get is solid reliability thanks to Alfa Romeo’s ties with Stellantis, which bought the car company in 2021 along with Fiat, Jeep, Chrysler and more. This reliability can be seen in its solid engines, great build quality and chassis setups. Fuel-efficient engines also mean lower emissions and running costs, which are always welcome. 

You should buy a used Alfa Romeo if you’re bored of the regular BMWs and Mercedes on the road and instead want something that stands out from the crowd and drives like a sports car. As the saying goes, ‘you’re not a true petrolhead unless you’ve owned an Alfa’.
