Used Porsche cars are some of the best vehicles in the world, and the company is one of the leading car manufacturers when it comes to performance and bang for your buck.  

They’re incredibly well-built, offer excellent value for money, and the engineers managed to defy physics by creating a rear-engined sports car. 

History of Porsche

Porsche was first started by Ferdinand Porsche in the 1930s and produced the 356 sports car under the supervision of the founder’s son, Ferry Porsche. 

In 2009, Porsche entered an agreement to become part of the Volkswagen Group, which already included Audi and Lamborghini. 

Now, it still remains its own brand, but with the help and support from the Volkswagen Group. It’s the best of both worlds for the Stuttgart-based car manufacturer. 

Standout Porsche features

Some of the best features that used Porsche cars offer include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, various selectable drive modes, lane keep assist, lane change assist, a large panoramic sunroof and an upgraded Bose or Burmester sound system.  

If you want a more sports car-feel then you can also have a Sport Chrono clock, larger and more powerful carbon ceramic brakes, adaptive sports seats and a manual gearbox on some models.  

This makes the driving experience more engaging, but both the manual and PDK automatic ‘boxes work perfectly with the engines on offer. 

Driving a Porsche

With these being luxury sports cars, running costs aren’t going to be as affordable as they would be with a Ford Focus or VW Golf, but they aren’t as horrendous as some. In fact, used Porsches are generally very fuel-efficient, which makes them excellent driving companions on longer road trips across the UK or into Europe.
