Putting a Porsche badge on a stunning SUV was always going to be the start of a success story, but the Macan is seriously impressive in its own right.  

The styling is obviously incredible – it's undeniably luxurious inside and out. It helps that you also get a comfortable amount of space and a 488-litre boot, making it a very practical car.  

Take it on the road and you’ll be blown away, as it supplies power, agility, and real refinement. There are a couple of choices for engines, but each receives high praise for performance and reliability.  

The tech is also seriously impressive, with a top-tier infotainment system and all-round incredible interior.

What are the Porsche Macan features?

The Porsche Macan is available in a few different options, giving you some choices for personalisation across the car.  

The latest models get an incredible Porsche Advanced Cockpit, with a high-resolution 10.9-inch touchscreen display, and touch-sensitive buttons. It’s easy to use and feels modern but without the loss of that classic Porsche charm. There's also the addition of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

There are also touches that car fans will really enjoy. The centrally positioned rev counter comes straight from the iconic Porsche 911 model, and there’s an analogue clock in the centre of the dash that Porsche says is a metaphor for embracing time in sports cars.  

Although the Macan is a luxury vehicle, it's still practical for everyday use. The boot is already spacious at 488 litres, but can extend to 1,503 litres if you drop the rear seats.  

What is the Porsche Macan like to drive?

If you’re on the market for a Porsche Macan, you probably already know just how great it feels to drive. This is the sweet spot for a luxury SUV – it provides performance that will make you grin on the motorway, but settles into a comfortable cruise with no issues.  

The standard Macan engine set-up is a 2.0-litre petrol, capable of 265hp in the 2021 model and 245hp in the models that came before. This one has a claimed 0-62mph of six seconds, and feels great when you put your foot down.  

The Macan GTS is the range-topper, and it really works for that title. A 2.9-litre V6 turbo engine offers 440hp, and makes this model feel every inch a Porsche.  

Four-wheel drive is standard in all Macan models, and makes taking on testing conditions no problem at all.
