What features does the Audi Q7 have?

Inside, the Q7 is a very pleasant place to be. Luxurious leather covers the seats and dashboard, and the panoramic sunroof creates an airier and more spacious feel when inside the cabin.  

Some standard kit across the range includes Bluetooth, heated electric seats, Audi’s 12.3-inch virtual cockpit that replaces the traditional dials, and a 10.1-inch central display.  

Audi’s MMI Touch infotainment system works like a dream and is very smooth and responsive. It's also available with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity.  

Some used models may come with the optional Comfort and Sound pack, which introduces a 360-degree camera, keyless entry and start, ambient LED lighting, and a very powerful 730-watt, 17-speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system.   

The boot itself measures in at 770 litres as standard, reducing to 295 litres with the third row of seats up.   

You can also fold the second row of seats down for 1,955 litres of space, which is nearly 100 litres more than that of its Volvo XC90 rival.

What's the Audi Q7 like to drive?

There are a range of engines on offer with the Q7 – diesels, petrols and hybrids.  

The petrol engine can be found in the 55 TFSI model and is a 3.0-litre unit that produces 340hp and is said to return up to 25.7mpg, according to Audi. This engine is best suited to those who do shorter drives, because that’s where petrol-powered SUVs tend to lie.  

The entry-level diesel engine is found in the 45 TDI model, and is a turbocharged 3.0-litre diesel V6 that produces 231hp and is very happy on longer motorway journeys, but will start to run out of breath if you stress it out too much.  

If you plan on lugging lots of stuff around, carrying up to seven people and towing a trailer, then there is only one engine for you. This is the mighty 3.0-litre V6 diesel found in the 50 TDI model, which produces 286hp.   

Not only does it have the most pulling power, but it should also return up to 30mpg in normal driving conditions.   

There’s now also a Q7 plug-in hybrid on offer, perfect for higher levels of fuel efficiency and cutting back on running costs.
