What are the Ford Kuga Zetec specs?

There have been several versions of the Ford Kuga Zetec on offer, but the most popular engines are the 1.5-litre 120hp diesel and the 2.0-litre diesels with either 120hp or 150hp.

Those who prefer petrol will value the 1.5-litre EcoBoost engines, which come with either 120hp, 150hp or 176hp depending on specification.

There are no plug-in hybrids because these are limited to more expensive trim levels, but there’s a good mix of automatics and manuals plus a selection of front- and four-wheel-drive variants.

Zetec models are most commonly available with second-generation 2012-2019 Ford Kugas, and standard kit includes alloy wheels, cruise control, air-conditioning, keyless start, and a heated windscreen to take the stress out of de-icing.

Third-generation cars, introduced in 2019, add more car tech like a wireless phone charger, all-around parking sensors, and more safety kit.

They also come with a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while previous-generation cars rely on a smaller system and Bluetooth connectivity.

Where the Kuga Zetec sits in the Ford range

For the Kuga, Zetec is the cheapest trim level you can get, so there are no entry-level models like Trend and Style, as you’d find in other Ford cars.

There are two routes to pick from there – for a touch of luxury, consider Titanium (Edition), Titanium X (Edition) and Vignale models.

Sportier-looking ST-Line (Edition) and ST-Line X (Edition) versions are also available, with similar levels of kit to their Titanium counterparts. The facelifted model introduced in 2024 also has a high-spec Active variant, which has a more rugged style.
