C-Max
Ford’s C-Max has become a bit of a household name in the MPV world, thanks to its perfect overall size and good styling. It is the go-to vehicle for both families and working professionals who need extra storage space.
Inside, the C-Max contains all the technology you’ll need. The entry-level Zetec model features 16-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights, heated door mirrors, air conditioning, and a DAB radio.
Move up to the Titanium trim and you will get automatic lights and wipers, climate control and larger 17-inch alloy wheels. The range-topping Titanium X model comes with added luxuries such as Xenon headlights, heated front part-leather seats, and a panoramic sunroof. All C-Max models come as standard with Ford’s latest SYNC 3 infotainment system.
When the Ford C-Max was last tested by Euro NCAP, it scored an impressive five stars due to it having six airbags, ESP and a tyre pressure monitor.
Optional extra safety features include lane keep assist, active city braking, traffic sign recognition, auto high-beam headlights and adaptive cruise control. If these added features appeal to you, then look out for used Ford C-Max models that feature the driver assistance pack.
The six airbags are spread among the front and side of the car’s interior to create maximum protection for its passengers. Every C-Max also features ISOFIX child seat anchors.
Every used car we sell comes with a free 90-day warranty that can be upgraded to cinchCare within 100 days of purchase.
The main selling point of the Ford C-Max is its vast amount of space and practicality. Despite its relatively small dimensions when compared to some of its rivals, the C-Max isn’t short on space whatsoever. It has 471 litres of boot space that can be increased to 1,851 litres when all the seats are folded flat.
It also features a low loading bay, allowing for easy loading and unloading of luggage and shopping bags. If you want to be able to transport lots of stuff and still have space for passengers, then the C-Max comes with a clever rear bench seating arrangement that splits the seating in a 40/20/40 format.
This allows you to fold down the centre rear seat to create a more spacious 2+2 layout while creating more storage space between the rear passengers.
When it comes to engine options, the Ford C-Max is offered up with four different choices, starting with the 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine. If you will regularly have a full car, however, then the larger and more powerful 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines may be for you.
The customer favourite in recent years has been the 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine, which produces 120hp. This is due to its strong fuel economy on longer motorway drives and great pulling power when the car is full.
If you plan to do mostly short journeys, we’d recommend the 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine. However, no matter which engine you choose, the car should still return upwards of 40mpg.
The Ford C-Max is a great car for someone looking to jump into a spacious yet well-proportioned MPV that offers great fuel economy, industry-standard levels of technology, safety, and good looks.
The standard Ford C-Max comes with five seats, but the Grand C-Max model is offered with seven seats thanks to its longer wheelbase and increased interior space.
Every Ford C-Max model comes with ISOFIX mounting points as standard to ensure the safety of younger passengers in the rear.
The cost of a Ford C-Max will depend on the model you pick, as prices vary across the range.
Prices may change depending on the models we have in stock at the time, and each one is available on a finance deal if you’d like to spread the cost.
You can use our car finance eligibility checker to work out a deal that fits your budget.
We would recommend a Ford C-Max to anyone who's looking for a spacious MPV offering impressive reliability and safety, bags of storage space, and enough space for up to seven passengers with the Grand C-Max model.
