A second-hand Tiguan gets a choice of two different engines: a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine.  

With four-wheel drive, the 185hp diesel engine is the pick of the bunch for long-distance driving but opt for the 150hp petrol and you won’t be disappointed – it’s best for most people who tend to drive shorter distances.
