Yes, the Qashqai is notably bigger than the Juke. It’s 210mm longer, 38mm wider and 40mm taller. The boot is only 58 litres larger, though, which is more of a positive reflection on the Juke than a negative one on the Qashqai.
Prior to April 2017, car tax was based entirely on CO2 emissions. Different diesel models usually costed £20-30 a year to tax. After the rules changed, all diesel models became £190 to tax, so if you’re after a diesel, it’s worth finding a slightly older model.
