What is the Kia Sportage like to drive?

The Kia Sportage offers the type of drive quality you’d expect from a model at a much higher price point.

The suspension is comfortable and smooths out bumps in the road, the steering is responsive and lets you take tight bends with ease, and there’s a variety of engines to choose from.   

The range runs from 1.6 litres to 2.0 litres – with options in between – and each is impressive in its own way.  

Up there on the larger scale is the 2.0-litre Sportage GT-Line, which can hit 0-60mph in 9.2 seconds and reach top speeds of up to 125mph.   

There are also other models in the range that aren’t quite as nippy but still have a nice punch of power.  

We particularly enjoy the Sportage 1.6 CRDi ISG for something that has a good-size engine with just the right amount of power for a busy family, and this model is backed up with a lot of exciting tech, too.
