If you’re looking at older cars, it’s worth scouting out higher trim levels for things like a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, front parking sensors and a larger 10.25-inch display.

Is the Kia Niro reliable?

Yes, all versions of the Kia Niro, Kia e-Niro and Kia Niro EV have proven to be popular, durable and long-lasting.

The hybrid system has been tried and tested, having also been used across other models from Kia, like the XCeed, Sportage and Sorento, and Hyundai, like the IONIQ, Kona, Tuscon and Santa Fe.

Kia also backs its cars with a seven-year/100,000-mile warranty, which is longer than Hyundai’s five-year (but unlimited mileage) cover.

How much does the Kia Niro cost to run?

The Kia Niro is one of the cheapest crossovers to run – hybrid models can easily average around 60mpg, and plug-in hybrid models could double that if you charge regularly and tend to only do shorter trips.
