What features does the Hyundai Kona have?

Inside, the Hyundai Kona features all the standard kit you’d expect to find in an SUV of this price range plus some more bits that may come in handy.   

Standard models feature an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. They also feature a rear parking camera to help in tighter spaces.   

Top-spec models are available with an upgraded eight-speaker sound system, more advanced driver safety features, a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen and a head-up display.   

As for boot space, the Kona is available with 374 litres of space in normal models and 332 litres in the all-electric Kona EV due to the extra space the batteries take up. With the rear seats folded down, you get a decent 1,156 litres of rear space for luggage or shopping.

Also on offer is the option of a mild hybrid unit that's either a 1.0-litre or 1.6-litre petrol engine mated to a hybrid system, which helps with fuel economy.  

Sitting at the top of the range, is the all-electric Kona that's available in 39kWh or 64kWh guise – the latter offering more range. Each motor produces 135hp and 203hp respectively and can offer a range of up to 300 miles (WLTP) on a single charge.   

All models offer great levels of driving, and each alters slightly to offer a different driving experience, allowing for a wider choice for the buyer.
