What is the Ford Kuga Titanium?

Titanium has been a trim level that Ford has used to signify its high-spec models for many years, and while there are newer levels above Titanium, a second-hand Ford Kuga Titanium still means you’re getting a well-thought-out model.

Second-hand Kuga Titanium models are available from all three generations of this popular family SUV, including the facelifted model that was introduced in 2024.

These days, Titanium is the entry-level model for the Kuga, but that doesn’t mean it feels cheap. It just means every version of the Kuga is built to a high quality.

What are the Ford Kuga Titanium specs?

Three versions of the Kuga Titanium have been available, so your choice of engines is wide. Newer models are most commonly available with a 150hp 1.5-litre petrol engine.

There’s also a 120hp 1.5-litre diesel available, which can be economical on longer trips, but it’s not powerful enough to tow large caravans.

For more power, consider the 190hp 2.0-litre diesel, the 190hp 2.5-litre hybrid, or the 225hp 2.5-litre plug-in hybrid. The latter can do around 30-40 miles on electric power alone.

Used Ford Kuga Titanium features and equipment

Newer used Ford Kuga Titanium models come with LED headlights, a powered boot lid, a digital instrument cluster, all-around parking sensors with a reversing camera, and cruise control.

Facelifted 2024-onward models come with the latest SYNC 4 infotainment system; this and the SYNC 3 found in 2019-onward third-generation models work with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Even older second-generation models come with keyless go, heated seats and dual-zone climate control.

Where the Kuga Titanium sits in the Ford range

Generally, Titanium is considered a high-spec model. It sits above Zetec for older models but became the entry-level point more recently.

Titanium and Titanium Edition cars sit below the Titanium X and Titanium X Edition trim levels, and the range-topping Vignale.

There are also ST-Line (Edition) and ST-Line X (Edition) trims, which come with similar kit to their Titanium counterparts but a sportier bodykit. A more rugged-looking Active model is also available.
