What is the Audi Q3 Sport?

A used Audi Q3 Sport gives you access to some of the company’s more eye-catching styling, inspired by the likes of the performance RS Q3 model but without the high running costs.

You can pick from a range of petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid engines, and they all come loaded with more kit than your average family hatchback in a crossover that offers a lot of space for the whole family.

What are the Audi Q3 Sport specs?

Several engines have been available over the years, but the most recent are the 150hp options, which include a 1.5-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel, badged 35 TFSI and 35 TDI respectively.

The second-generation model was also available with a 190hp 2.0-litre diesel, badged 40 TDI, but Audi stopped selling this to focus on more efficient choices. The first-generation model was available with a similar 184hp 2.0-litre diesel.

Older models also came with a 150hp 1.4-litre petrol engine, which was replaced by the newer 1.5-litre unit. They should be fairly similar in terms of running costs.

Used Audi Q3 Sport features and equipment

Equipment levels vary model-by-model because Audi had updated the Q3 Sport multiple times during its time on sale, so it’s worth checking any individual listing before pulling the trigger.

As a guide, the latest versions come with LED headlights, a powered boot lid, dual-zone climate control, interior ambient lighting, rear parking sensors, cruise control and a lot of safety kit.

They also get a dual-screen setup – a large 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a secondary 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Where the Q3 Sport sits in the Audi range

Sport is a trim level that’s used across the entire Audi range, and it represents a good middle ground. This mid-spec trim level comes with upgraded levels of kit and more desirable styling while maintaining a good degree of affordability.

Previously, SE and Technik models were available as entry-level options, but they’re not as good value for money. Audi no longer sells these, so Sport is the cheapest model you can get on newer Audi Q3 cars.

Above these are sporty S line models and more aggressive-looking Black Edition variants. For a limited period, Audi also sold premium Vorsprung cars, which were expensive, but there are plenty of good deals on used examples.
