What is the Audi A6 S line?

An Audi A6 S line is a high-spec version of an already high-spec car, so it comes loaded with car tech and safety kit.

S line is the name given to Audi’s sporty-looking trim level, which means a used Audi A6 S line comes with a bodykit inspired by the sporty S6 and RS6 models, but without their high running costs.

Besides what’s already on offer, S line models are extremely desirable, which means there should be plenty of used A6 S line cars for sale to pick from.

What are the Audi A6 S line specs?

Every version of the fifth-generation C8 model, introduced in 2018, comes with a mild hybrid engine. Currently, there are 204hp petrol (40 TFSI) and diesel (40 TDI) engines, and a 265hp (45 TFSI) petrol – all are 2.0-litre engines.

There’s also a 299hp plug-in hybrid, badged 50 TFSI e, which should do around 40 miles between charges.

Previously, there were 286hp 3.0-litre V6 diesels (50 TDI) and 340hp 3.0-litre V6 petrols (55 TFSI) on sale, but Audi stopped selling these in the interest of efficiency. Still, there are plenty available used.

Used Audi A6 S line features and equipment

The fifth-generation model introduced a completely redesigned, high-tech interior. As well as a digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system, another touchscreen display on the centre console serves as a control panel for car features like climate control.

Depending on the model year, a used Audi A6 S line also comes with a 360-degree parking camera, matrix LED headlights that dim certain parts of the beam to prevent blinding oncoming traffic, adaptive cruise control and an upgraded sound system.

Even previous-generation models come with four-zone climate control, keyless start, heated seats and all-around parking sensors.

Where the A6 S line sits in the Audi range

S line has always been a high-spec version of any Audi, but more recently, trims like Black Edition and Vorsprung have offered an even more premium experience.

Below S line is the current entry-level trim, Sport, which is very well equipped and offers everything you need.

If you’ve got your eye on older models, entry-level SE and SE Executive models are also available, but they’re not short on kit.
