The Hyundai i30 is a quality, reliable car that hits the road without any fuss – but is the boot large enough for you?

If you want a reliable all-rounder that will carry out all the basics without a fuss, the Hyundai i30 is a great choice.

It first entered the market in 2007 and, since then, Hyundai designers have added attractive features to both its exterior and interior.

As well as the usual equipment and infotainment systems you’d expect from a vehicle, current Hyundai i30 models have an eight-inch touchscreen that comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality.

As for boot space, the Hyundai i30 won’t disappoint – whether you only need to carry shopping bags or need space for bigger loads, its boot should do you just fine!

What are the Hyundai i10's boot dimensions?

The Hyundai i30 is offered in four different specification options, including the sporty N Performance and SE models.

It also comes in three different body styles – hatchback, estate and fastback. These all have an impact on the amount of space you’ll get from the boot.

Here’s what you can expect:

Hyundai i30 hatchback dimensions:

  • Load width (between wheelhouses): 1,030mm circa

  • Boot capacity with seats upright: 395l

  • Boot capacity with seats folded: 1,301l

Hyundai i30 fastback dimensions:

  • Load width: 1,040mm circa

  • Boot capacity with seats upright: 450l

  • Boot capacity with seats folded: 1,351l

Hyundai i30 estate dimensions:

  • Load width: 1,040mm circa

  • Boot capacity with seats upright: 602l

  • Boot capacity with seats folded: 1,650l

You're spoilt for choice with the number of options. Only need to fit your weekly shopping in the back of the car? The ‘standard’ hatchback will do the trick.

Tend to use your vehicle to transport bulkier loads or have a large family? The estate model might be the Hyundai i30 for you.

How big is a Hyundai i30's boot?

The Hyundai i30 hatchback offers you 395 litres of boot space – not bad for a standard family car!

If you do want some extra space, the fastback version might be the one for you. With the seats up, you’ll get a boot capacity of 450 litres and a generous 1,351 litres with the rear seats down.

If you find yourself frequently ferrying cumbersome equipment, the Hyundai i30 estate comes with plenty of room.

With the seats kept upright, you’ll benefit from 602 litres, and if that somehow isn’t enough, you just need to fold your rear seats to enjoy a whopping 1,650 litres.

How many seats are in a Hyundai i30?

The Hyundai i30 has plenty of room for a driver and four passengers, all of whom can enjoy a relaxing ride thanks to ample head and legroom.

All trim levels have seat height adjustment and electronic adjustable lumbar support, so whether you’re at the wheel or chilling in the back, you’re bound to have a comfortable journey!
