What features does the Volvo XC90 have?

Inside, a used Volvo XC90 will bag you one of the best interiors in its class and is minimalist yet jam-packed full of technology.    

Standard equipment across the range includes front and rear seat heating, auto-dimming mirrors, a DAB radio and two USB ports.  

Sitting in the centre of the dashboard is a nine-inch portrait display that gives you access to a range of apps through Volvo’s infotainment system.  

On top of this, some optional extras available on the XC90 include a panoramic sunroof and a 13-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.

This is thanks to a range of solid engines and hybrid powertrains as well as impeccable build quality. 

How much does the Volvo XC90 cost to run?

You can get a used Volvo XC90 with a choice of engines, which include petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid options.   

If you’re looking for the best all-rounder, we would suggest you check out the B5 diesel unit that's mated to a 48V mild hybrid system.  

This is a very smooth engine that's perfect for towing a trailer or caravan, and Volvo claims it returns up to 44mpg.   

Moving up the range, you get the 2.0-litre T5 and T6 engines that pack a bigger punch than the diesel under acceleration, but it won’t be as good as the B5 on longer journeys with regard to fuel economy.   

Sitting at the top of the range is the plug-in hybrid T8 engine. This is a 2.0-litre petrol engine that's connected to both a turbocharger and a supercharger, producing a combined 390hp and a claimed fuel economy of around 80mpg.   

Being a hybrid, this engine is capable of travelling around 20-50 miles in all-electric mode, depending on model year, which is ideal for most people’s daily work commutes.
