The XC60 Inscription is the luxury trim that includes touches like Nappa leather seats, while the XC60 R-Design is the sports trim that offers extra styling for an edgier look.     

The XC60 R-Design Pro is the top-spec in the latest line-up, getting all the best equipment and a strong choice of engines. 

These include the mild hybrid option, and the full plug-in hybrid – both great for fuel economy.     

Even the entry-level trims get a whole lot of tech and added features. The XC60 Core is the standard model but feels anything but that.

There are a few Volvo XC60 models to pick from, and each one has different priorities when it comes to getting on the road. Luckily, they all feel sleek and easy to drive, with a pop of power when you need it.     

The mild-hybrid diesel models are great for efficient everyday driving, while still offering healthy performance.    

The latest B4 diesel engine option claims it can hit 0-62mph in just 8.3 seconds, with 197hp. It’s a great all-rounder that will suit many motorists.    

There’s also the petrol B5 all-wheel drive model with 250hp and an official 0-62mph time of just 6.9 seconds. And it’s still practical for daily use.  

Despite the range of engines, you do get between 36mpg and 44mpg, which is plenty frugal enough for most.
