The Volvo S60 has some rather tough competition from its German rivals, but fortunately, this stylish Swedish saloon has a lot going for it. 

It shares a lot of parts with the V60 estate and the XC60 SUV, which are considered to be mid-sized models. 

Many think the S60 is just a squashed version of the S90, but this really isn’t the case and it even has certain design cues of its own – including a much sportier look. 

The latest-generation model has only ever been available with petrol power, but you can also get mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants for improved fuel economy.

What features does the Volvo S60 have?

Every trim level comes with a large, portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment system that’s incredibly easy to use and has plenty of smartphone connectivity options, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. 

There's also a head-up display, a powerful sound system and, as you’d expect from a Volvo, a lot of safety kit. 

The S60’s boot offers 442 litres of space, which isn’t all that much less than the V60 estate model. Therefore, this practical saloon has plenty of space to fit suitcases and shopping without worrying about running out of room.
