What features does the Volvo EX30 have?

The EX30 maintains that iconic, minimalist Scandinavian interior by keeping things simple – most things are controlled on the central touchscreen. Even your speed is displayed there, just like a Tesla. It runs Google Maps, the Google voice assistant and more smart tech.

Inside is pretty customisable, with a choice of faux leather trims and dashboard inserts. There are even green seats – but they’re more of an Instagram-friendly soft sage green than anything offensive.

Is the Volvo EX30 reliable?

It’s still a new car, but so far so good, and Volvo’s already been seen to be handling teething issues with free over-the-air (OTA) software updates to keep the car in check.

It gets the industry-standard three-year vehicle warranty and eight-year battery warranty, plus the backing of a full five-star Euro NCAP safety rating. But then, we’d expect that from any Volvo given the brand’s solid reputation.

How much does the Volvo EX30 cost to run?

Official WLTP range is up to 209 miles for the smaller battery, and 295 miles for the bigger battery, so you should never be afraid to take it long distances. A 10-80% battery top-up can be done in as little as 26 minutes, too.

It’s pretty efficient for an electric crossover – even the high-performance, 428hp model is cheap to fuel. Just beware of insurance costs if you’re going for a fast 0-62mph time, as premiums can climb.
