Start nowThe EQA is a more recent addition to Mercedes’ line-up and is the smallest electric car the brand sells.
Since its launch in 2022, there have been an astonishing number of trims on offer (seven at the time of writing), with the most popular being the 4MATIC AMG Lines models.
Popular Mercedes EQA trims
You can get a used Mercedes EQA in a range of different trims, each offering different tech and features.
> Mercedes EQA Sport Executive – a respectable base trim with 18-inch alloy wheels, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and a reversing camera
> Mercedes EQA AMG Line – the ‘AMG’ bit adds a sportier body kit along with a few added interior sports elements such as bolstered seats
> Mercedes EQA AMG Line Premium Plus – one of the top-spec versions with all the bells and whistles Mercedes has to throw at it
Mercedes EQA history
The EQA is a relatively new car from Mercedes, so it hasn’t had time to mature. But there’s still one generation to know about.
> First-generation Mercedes EQA (2021-present) – an all-electric version of the brand’s GLA to take on vast competition
Being the electric version of the GLA, its interior is basically the same.
With this, you get leather seats as well as two 10-inch infotainment screens with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Upgrade to a higher model and you can enjoy an uprated sound system, wireless phone charging and an inbuilt augmented reality sat-nav.
Being an SUV, you want it to be practical, and the EQA is solid in this department thanks to a 340-litre boot that expands to 1,320 litres when the rear seats are folded flat.
Being a Mercedes, there’s very little you need to worry about with regards to reliability.
Thanks to excellent build quality and solid battery technology, the EQA is very dependable.
It’s safe too, with a full five-star rating following its most recent Euro NCAP crash test in 2019.
You get solid safety features such as airbags all around, rear ISOFIX child seat points, speed assistance, lane-keep assist and automatic emergency braking for cyclists, pedestrians and other road users.
The EQA is powered by a 70.5kWh battery that offers different ranges depending on the model you have.
The EQA 250+ will get up to 324 miles, while the 300 4MATIC and 350 4MATIC models get up to 268 miles of range.
To add to this, all EQA models benefit from 150kW fast charging, which can get you from 10-80% battery in around 30 minutes, with it costing approximately 75p per kWh – resulting in an estimated £52 to ultra-fast charge the car from 0-100%.
You should buy a used Mercedes EQA if you’re new to the world of electric cars or you need a small (but well-sized) SUV to get you from A to B.
It’s similar enough to the petrol or diesel-powered GLA so it doesn’t feel too alien, but it’s spaceship-like enough to stand apart from it.
Rivals include the BMW iX1, Volvo XC40 Recharge and Kia EV6.
The cost to buy a used Mercedes EQA on finance will depend on the specific model variant you pick, as prices will always vary across the range.
Our EQA models are available on finance deals, giving you the option to spread the cost.
You charge an EQA like any other electric car. Plug it into the charger, tap your cinchCharge card (available with every one of our EV sales) and you’re good to go.
The ‘EQ’ part of the name stands for ‘Electric Intelligence’ and the ‘A’ denotes where it sits in Mercedes’ lineup.
Yes, the EQA is a fully electric model. It takes the best bits about the GLA and replaces the engine with batteries.
The EQA has an electric range of up to 324 miles, which makes it a competitive option.
