How much does the Mercedes CLE cost to run?

There are so many variants that it's impossible to say in one sentence. Thankfully, mild hybrid tech is standard on all models except for the plug-in hybrid – for obvious reasons.

The diesel CLE 220d promises up to 60mpg on official tests, so it's great for long-distance driving. Petrol models generally sit around 40-45mpg, but the 3.0-litre CLE 450 sits closer to 37mpg.

There's also the choice of a plug-in hybrid, badged CLE 300e. That one will do around 70 miles on battery power alone.

Who is the Mercedes CLE suitable for?
