The i20 rivals the likes of the Ford Fiesta, Renault Clio and Volkswagen Polo, which is no easy task, but the plucky i10 does so in a way that's exciting.  

This is a vehicle that's seen drastic improvements since it came out in 2008 – inside and out.  

The most modern and up-to-date variants feature industry-leading pieces of technology, starting with the SE Connect trim and working up to the range-topping Ultimate trim.  

Under the bonnet, there are a choice of engines on the used market that offer great fuel efficiency and drivability around town and on longer journeys.

What are the Hyundai i20's features?

The i20’s interior has changed drastically, even just in the past few years. It's gone from being somewhat plain to featuring an even cleaner and updated look and feel.

Newer entry-level SE Connect models have standard features such as cruise control, air conditioning, an eight-inch touchscreen, rearview camera and parking sensors.  

Upgraded Premium and Ultimate models get luxuries such as heated seats, a heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, keyless entry start, smartphone wireless charging options, a larger 10-inch display and a premium Bose sound system.  

In terms of occupants' comfort, the inside is spacious enough to seat four adults comfortably for both knee room and headroom – something that's quite rare with superminis.  

The boot is 352 litres and is therefore one of the largest in its class, with rivals such as the Ford Fiesta getting just 292 litres in comparison.

What's the Hyundai i20 like to drive?

There have been a few different engine options over the years, but Hyundai currently offers just one: a 1.0-litre petrol engine in a few different power variants.

As you move up the range, you get more power. The least powerful produces 100hp, while the most powerful engine produces 120hp. All of the variants are perfect for everyday driving, and are comfortable out on the road.  

Both engine options are available with either a six-speed manual gearbox or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.  

Previous i20 models were available with 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre petrol engines and you may find some on our site, depending on our stock.
