The i10 has staked its claim as a serious contender on the packed-out city car market.  

This could be down to the stylish design that runs inside and out, or the range of trims that offer up a whole load of features you’ll struggle to pick between – but it’s also really easy and comfortable to drive.   

We love that the styling of the i10 has a sporty vibe that you might be used to seeing on a hot hatch, which gives the i10 an advantage over its competition. This is definitely true if you pick a model like the i10 N Line – a sporty-looking city car that’s easy on your pocket.  

This makes the i10 a great option for the motorist who needs a city car but doesn’t want to feel like they’re driving one. It’s small, affordable, brilliant to drive, but looks and feels fiercer than other models on the market.   

There are a few options to choose from in the line up, including the Premium, N Line, S, and SE models. 

What features does the Hyundai i10 have?

A used i10 will bag you some great features, even from entry-level.  

The entry-level S and S Air models get a sleek beige colour scheme inside, while the SE and further get a cool choice of blue and orange styling.

The Go Edition gets a grey interior, and there are plenty of choices for exterior colours across the full range.  

The i10 gets a 252-litre boot that’ll easily fit all your essentials, and you’ll still get five seats and front and rear doors, despite this being a smaller model.   

Tech-wise, models usually come with built-in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for smartphone connectivity, but there’s also Bluetooth connectivity.  

If moving around tight spots is a worry for you, even in this small city cruiser, then the added parking sensors and parking cameras will be appreciated. You’ll even get built-in cruise control and speed limiter in some i10 models.

What's the Hyundai i10 like to drive?

Driving a used i10 is a brilliant experience – its small size means it feels nimble and agile on the road, but it still feels firm and steady thanks to the added traction and stability tech.   

It doesn’t feel too stiff that bumps in the road will be an issue, as the suspension is comfortable enough that you won’t notice every bit of texture under your wheels.  

You’ll get a choice of 1.0- and 1.2-litre engines, the biggest of which will hit 0-62mph in 12.6 seconds and feels just punchy enough for town centre driving.   

The smaller engines are the ones to pick if you want to maximise fuel efficiency, as Hyundai claims a 1.0-litre will usually achieve around 62mpg.  

There are options for gearboxes too, with a slick and easy automatic or a responsive and smooth manual on offer.
