Despite that 2.0-litre petrol engine and impressive performance, the self-charging hybrid is very efficient and produces fewer CO2 emissions than you might expect, helping to keep tax low.

As for filling up at the pump, it’ll do around 45-50mpg according to official testing. We’ve tested one ourselves, and averaged 45mpg, which is ideal.
