What is the Ford Focus Style?

A Ford Focus Style is the entry-level version of this well-rounded family hatchback, and it’s an excellent value pick for those after a slightly bigger hatchback.

When Ford launched the fourth-generation model in 2018, it continued to offer the Style trim level, but it wasn't long before the company cut the cheapest model from its lineup.

If you prefer to spend less on a car, there are even cheaper previous-generation Focus Style cars to pick from.

What are the Ford Focus Style specs?

Although it’s a budget-conscious model, Ford still sells the Focus Style with its core range of engines, including the efficient EcoBlue diesels and the punchy EcoBoost petrols.

There’s a 1.0-litre petrol available, which comes with the usual 100hp and 125hp outputs, depending on configuration.

There’s also a lesser-powered 85hp variant, but there are no higher-spec versions like you’ll get on more expensive trim levels.

There are also two variants of the 1.5-litre diesel, with either 95hp or 120hp. They’re incredibly efficient on long trips.

Used Ford Focus Style features and equipment

To keep the cost of the Focus Style down, the fourth-generation model comes with wheel trims instead of alloys and a basic button-controlled infotainment system, but it still gets digital radio and Bluetooth.

You also get LED daytime running lights, automatic headlights, air-conditioning, an electric parking brake and electric windows.

A newer Focus Style will also come with plenty of safety kit, like a lane-keeping aid and autonomous emergency braking (AEB).

Where the Focus Style sits in the Ford range

Ford has added and removed trim levels over the years, but in the case of the latest model, Style was the cheapest version before it was taken off sale.

At that time, you could pick from better-equipped Zetec models, premium Titanium and Titanium X cars, sporty-looking ST-Line and ST-Line X variants, plus rugged-looking Active and Active X versions.

During the car’s time on sale, ‘Edition’ has been added to the end of some of the trim names, and some Vignale variants have offered even more levels of luxury over Titanium cars.
