What is the BMW X2 M Sport X?

A BMW X2 M Sport X is a high-spec version of BMW’s smallest crossover – it’s based on the popular M Sport variant but adds even more equipment, making used examples great value for money.

M Sport is a popular trim level across the BMW range, including the X2, because it combines all the style of performance M models with the affordable running costs of BMW’s regular, efficient engines.

What are the BMW X2 M Sport X specs?

When the X2 M Sport X first went on sale, you could only buy the xDrive20d engine – a 190hp 2.0-litre diesel with four-wheel drive. It’s a very popular pick, and blends fuel economy with decent performance.

Other picks include the 150hp 18d diesel, the 192hp 20i petrol, and the 136hp 18i petrol. There’s a good mix of two- and four-wheel drive, plus manuals and automatics.

The final option is an efficient plug-in hybrid – it uses a 1.5-litre petrol engine and electric motor to produce a total of 220hp, and should be able to do around 20-30 miles on electric power between charges.
