What is the BMW 1 Series M135i?

The BMW 1 Series M135i is the sporty choice for a well-rounded sporty hatchback that benefits from proper German engineering and is great fun to drive.

This trim was first launched in 2012 on the second generation (F20) 1 Series and provided buyers with a more aggressive-looking hatchback with proper sports car-like credentials from BMW's 'M' Division.

With various configurations on the table, BMW certainly didn't (and still doesn't) hold back with the M135i.

What are the BMW 1 Series M135i specs?

Being one of the performance variants, the 1 Series M135i packs a serious punch in the engine department.

Sitting under the bonnet is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 306hp and 450Nm of torque.

This, partnered with weighted steering, makes for one of the best driving experiences for the price. It's also fairly economical for what it is, with a claimed 37.2mpg.
