What is the Audi TT Sport?

Sport is a mid-range trim level in Audi terms, but for the TT, it’s the entry point, which means there are no basic models.

Every Audi TT Sport for sale comes with plenty of equipment, and if you’ve got your eye on a third-generation 2014-2023 model then you’ll get a high-tech and minimalist interior.

What are the Audi TT Sport specs?

To suit this car’s dynamic feel, many buyers opt for a petrol engine, and the 197hp 2.0-litre 40 TFSI is a popular choice. There are also more powerful 245hp 45 TFSI variants, too, which replaced a slightly older 230hp 2.0-litre engine.

Diesel power comes in the form of the 184hp 2.0-litre engine, which is the same one that you’ll find in a Mk7 Volkswagen Golf GTD.

If you’re looking for older models, you’ll also find a selection of 1.8-litre petrol engines, which come with 180hp.

Used Audi TT Sport features and equipment

Standard kit varies depending on the model year you pick because Sport was available for around two decades.

As a guide, newer models come with xenon headlights, keyless go and cruise control. The controls for the heated front seats and the climate control are also hidden in the centre of the air vents for a much cleaner look on the centre console.

Rather than using a separate touchscreen, third-generation Audi TT Sport cars have their infotainment system built into the digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel, so things like car settings and mapping are all displayed there.

Where the TT Sport sits in the Audi range

For the Audi TT, Sport is the entry-level model. Some other Audi cars come with lower-spec SE and Technik trims, which don’t have as much kit, but even the most basic Audi TT comes with all the mod-cons.

Another popular trim that sites one tier above Sport is S line – it has a more aggressive bodykit inspired by the sporty TTS and TT RS, as well as a few extra bits of equipment.

An even more eye-catching Black Edition was available, as well as a premium Vorsprung trim. In the car’s final year on sale, the Final Edition model was also launched.
