What is the Audi A6 Sport?

The Audi A6 Sport is a mid-spec version of the German manufacturer’s premium saloon, which blends high levels of luxury with an affordable price tag.

Because Sport was introduced with the fifth-generation C8 model in 2018, this model comes with a high-tech multi-screen setup and fuel-saving mild hybrid technology.

Despite the A6 Sport being a reasonably new model, some used cars have had plenty of time to drop in value, making them more affordable than some basic hatchbacks.

What are the Audi A6 Sport specs?

Being a newer model with an emphasis on fuel economy, the Audi A6 Sport only comes with 2.0-litre engines.

Many divers opt for the 204hp diesel engine, badged 40 TDI, which is generally the most efficient on longer trips.

You can also choose between two petrols – the 204hp 40 TFSI and the 245hp 45 TFSI – and a 299hp plug-in hybrid, badged 50 TFSI e, which should be able to do up to around 40 miles on electric power alone.

Used Audi A6 Sport features and equipment

Although there have been a few updates to the A6 range since this model launched, even the oldest versions come with seriously impressive levels of car tech.

As a guide, some of the newer cars come with matrix LED headlights that adjust automatically to prevent blinding oncoming traffic, all-around parking sensors, a reversing camera, cruise control, keyless start and dual-zone climate control.

They also come with three screens – a digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a smart touchscreen controller for the cabin’s temperature.

Where the A6 Sport sits in the Audi range

When this version of the A6 launched, Sport became the entry-level model, but some previous versions were also available with lower-spec SE and SE Executive trim levels.

Well-equipped S line models are desirable variants because they have even more sporty styling, and there are aggressive-looking Black Edition cars at the top of the range.

For only a couple of years, a really premium Vorsprung model was on sale, and used examples can be exceptionally good value.
