What is the Audi A5 Black Edition?

A used A5 Black Edition is one of the highest trim levels you can get when it comes to buying this German coupé.

Besides giving the A5 more road presence, a Black Edition model will also come with a long list of equipment.

So far, there have only been two generations of the Audi A5 and both have had a Black Edition variant available, so you can pick from the latest and greatest or find something more affordable, without losing any appeal.

What are the Audi A5 Black Edition specs?

In its most recent years, Audi has slimmed down the A5 Black Edition range to consist of only 2.0-litre engines, including a diesel engine with either 163hp (35 TDI) or 204hp (40 TDI).

There’s also a selection of petrols to pick from, including the 150hp 35 TFSI, the 204hp 40 TFSI, and the 265hp 45 TFSI. There’s a good mix of front- or four-wheel drive, but most newer models are automatics.

For more performance, consider an older model with a 245hp 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine.
