Renault has revamped its smallest SUV for 2024, bringing major interior and tech upgrades alongside a sportier look.

The Captur, being the Clio's larger sibling, retains its petrol and hull hybrid powertrains this year, but with much more kit to play around with.

A fresh look for the 2024 Renault Captur

There's also now the option to have a two-tone colour scheme, which is optional on Techno and standard on esprit Alpine trims.

This fresh look helps it to compete strongly with its sharp-looking Ford Puma and Peugeot 2008 rivals.

Renault Captur 2024 interior and tech

Renault has also added USB C sockets and smartphone wireless charging, so you and your passengers can always have fully-charged devices on those longer road trips.

The upholstery depends on the trim level you opt for. Techno gets you bright yellow stitching while the Esprit Alpine adds blue accents and French flags to remind you of the brand's history.

Renault claims that 'all the upholstery includes recycled fabrics selected for its low-carbon footprint, without compromising on perceived quality, feel or comfort.'

Need boot space? Thankfully the Renaut Captur for 2024 doesn't scrimp on space, offering 536 litres of storage with the rear seats up. For comparison, the Ford Puma offers 456 litres.

Renault Captur 2024 engine options

You start with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder unit that produces 88hp and is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Renault claims this will return around 48.3mpg WLTP.

The other is the full-hybrid E-Tech variant which produces 93hp from its larger 1.6-litre engine that's aided by a 47hp electric motor, bringing the total power output to 140hp, offering up to 60.1mpg WLTP.

Renault Captur 2024 prices and specs

The new Renault Captur is available in three different trim levels: Evolution, Techno and range-topping Esprit Alpine.

It's the first time the top-spec Esprit Alpine trim is available on the Captur, bringing the best of the best sound systems, styling and integrated interior tech.

Being a facelift, we expect Renault to bump up the prices for its Captur models. The entry-level Evolution trim is expected to cost from £22,000, the mid-spec Techno at more than £23,000 and the top-spec Esprit Alpine at £29,000.
