The C4 Cactus was an innovative family car that offered used car buyers funky styling paired with great features and comfort, but it was short lived as a new model to make way for newer models.

The C4 Cactus’s driving position is quite low, which is pleasant – especially considering the increased ride height of the vehicle.    

All models feature a seven-inch touchscreen that's connected to Citroen’s infotainment system.  

This includes a DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity, a built-in sat-nav, a six-speaker setup, and the option to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.   

Top-spec models have options such as an uprated speaker system, 16GB jukebox, and an Arkamys amplifier to pump your tunes out of.   

The boot has a 358-litre capacity that grows to 1,170 litres once the rear seats are folded flat. 

Is the Citroen C4 Cactus reliable?

Modern Citroens are reliable cars, now sitting under the Stellantis umbrella, and are much more dependable than older models which didn’t have the best name for reliability. 

As long as it’s serviced regularly and is carefully maintained, as with all cars, you shouldn’t have any concerns. 

How much does the Citroen C4 Cactus cost to run?

Citroen has altered the C4 Cactus’s engine options over the years, with models from 2018 offering a couple choices.  

However, older variants were available with a few different options, such as a 1.6-litre diesel engine and a slightly less powerful version of the current petrol engine.   

The two on offer since 2018 include a 1.2-litre PureTech petrol engine with 110hp, and a 1.5-litre BlueHDi diesel that produces 100hp.    

Despite the C4 Cactus being higher up than other cars in its class, it doesn’t feel like it from the driver’s seat because of the low seating position.
