No deposit car finance

£0 deposit car finance means you could start a PCP or HP car finance agreement without paying a penny upfront – depending on eligibility

What’s no deposit car finance?

No deposit car finance is pretty much exactly as it sounds – you don’t need to pay a deposit at the start of a car finance agreement.

With typical Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) and Hire Purchase (HP) car finance agreements, you’ll make an initial deposit before starting your monthly payments.

£0 deposit car finance gives you the option to skip this and just start paying for your car monthly, saving you money upfront.

All cinch cars can be available with no deposit car finance, depending on your eligibility.

How no deposit car finance works

No deposit car finance means the full cost of the car is financed and you won’t have paid that initial chunk with your deposit.

So, you’ll spread the total cost of the car (plus any fees and interest) across your monthly payments.

It’s the same process as applying for finance with a deposit. You’ll need to:

  1. Find your perfect used car – all our cars are available on finance, so you can take a look at our range and find your ideal motor

  2. Apply for finance – usually you’d make a deposit once you’re accepted, but you can skip this step if you’re approved for no deposit finance

  3. Start your repayments – just like finance with a deposit, you’ll then start repaying on a monthly basis

  4. Optional final payment with PCP – if you’ve taken out PCP finance, you’ll have the optional final payment at the end of your term to take ownership of the car

Benefits of no deposit car finance

  • Don't need to wait until you’ve saved for a deposit to get a new car

  • Helpful if you’re not able to find a cash deposit or part-exchange a car

  • Can choose to overpay in the future if you’re expecting to have the funds (be sure to check your individual agreement for any fees this may attract)

Things to consider for no deposit car finance

  • As you haven’t paid a deposit, your monthly finance payments will be higher and you may pay back more overall

  • Interest can be higher if you’re financing the full cost of your car

  • You’ll still need to pay a final optional payment with PCP car finance if you want to take ownership
