TSI-badged petrol engines are either 1.8-litre or 2.0-litre units that range in horsepower from 122hp to 264hp and up to 52.3mpg.

There’s also a hybrid GTE version powered by a 1.4-litre petrol engine mated to an electric motor that produces a combined 212hp, which can achieve a claimed 45.6mpg.

For the most fuel efficiency, the TDI diesels come as either a 1.6-litre or 2.0-litre unit, producing between 118hp and 211hp with a claimed economy rating of 60.1mpg.
