The Tesla Model X is one of the longest-standing cars in Tesla’s lineup, and it also happens to be one of the most popular. This large SUV is perfect for families or those who need plenty of seats and storage space. 

If it’s family space you need, the Model X has you covered. It’s available with up to seven seats in total – with even the rear seats offering enough headroom for taller passengers. It offers great value for money on the second-hand market because you can pick one up for a lot less than they were new – and that’s a lot of car for your money. 

Models on the used car market include the 60D, 75D, 90D, 100D – with the performance P90D and P100D models sitting at the top of the range. 

What features does the Tesla Model X have?

Aside from its impressive falcon-wing rear doors, the Model X has plenty of nifty features to impress even the nerdiest of tech people. Some of these include automatic front doors, auto-summon (where the car drives to meet you out of a parking space), autopilot to ease your mind on a longer motorway drive, a panoramic windshield, and a yoke steering wheel (in newer models), to name just a few.  

This also might be one of the only new cars in the world that doesn’t come with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto connectivity, but Tesla simply refuses to integrate it.  

But this isn’t really a problem, because the car’s in-built infotainment system is probably the best in the world. It’s as if there’s an iPad glued to the dashboard – and unlike the Model 3, the Model X’s screen is portrait.

What is the Tesla Model X like to drive?

When you get behind the wheel of the Model X, you’ll be greeted by a really quiet and relaxing driving experience. Being an electric car, you don’t hear any engine noise at all, so you can simply waft along in silence. 

Different variants offer different power outputs and ranges, but for the most part, you will get in the region of 200-350 miles of range and enough horsepower that you don’t really need to think about it. To give you some idea about how much power you can expect, the top-spec Model X Plaid produces 1,020hp and has a 0-60mph time of 2.5 seconds.  

We don’t need to talk about one engine being more efficient than the other because all Teslas are all-electric, so they emit no harmful tailpipe emissions and allow you to feel guilt-free when driving around town.
