A used Suzuki Vitara is a more affordable alternative to the Range Rover Evoque and is arguably more reliable.

Fortunately, Suzuki’s trim levels make a lot of sense, because they go in numerical order. The only anomaly is the SZ-T model, which sits just below the range-topping SZ5.

There were three versions of the Suzuki Vitara before the one we’re familiar with today, but after some time away, Suzuki revived the name for the fourth-generation model.

What features does the Suzuki Vitara have?

Inside, the Vitara follows Suzuki’s trend of being simple yet effective. This is no bad thing, however, because everything is where it should be, and the entire cabin is very clean and functional.   

Any Suzuki Vitara model will come with plenty of options to listen to music, including digital radio, a CD player, Bluetooth/USB connectivity and steering wheel-mounted controls. 

Higher model trims include a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with built-in sat-nav and better speakers.   

There's also Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone mirroring on offer. 

Overall interior space is impressive too, and it offers plenty of legroom and headroom for passengers and the driver.    

The boot measures in at 375 litres and grows to 710 litres with the rear seats folded flat. The opening for the boot is nice and wide, allowing plenty of room to slide cases or boxes in.
