Used electric Hyundai cars for sale

Popular Hyundai electric cars

Hyundai has an ever-growing range of electric cars for sale, and they’re mostly designed for exactly what we crave – that high driving position.

Hyundai electric cars for sale, like the IONIQ 5 and Kona Electric, offer that SUV appeal in a manageable form factor, while the IONIQ 9 offers three rows of seating and a huge boot.

If efficiency is more your thing, then why not consider the IONIQ 6, which is a saloon that’s more aerodynamic than the extremely popular and efficient Tesla Model 3.

Types of Hyundai electric cars

Although most of Hyundai’s electric cars for sale are SUVs, they span a range of different sub-categories, including a city car in the form of the Inster, crossovers and large seven-seaters.

There’s also the choice of a more streamlined saloon, so if being as efficient as possible is important to you, then you don’t have to settle for something big and heavy.

Hyundai electric car performance

Most used Hyundai electric cars are quicker than merely nippy, with punchy electric motors offering in excess of 200hp in their standard forms.

If you’re after outright performance, the IONIQ 5 N is a great option. It straddles the border between being a hot hatch and a hot SUV, but whatever you want to call it, just know that 650hp and 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds is supercar territory.

Although the small and affordable Inster has a slower 0-62mph time of 10.6 seconds, it still feels brisk around town thanks to the instant torque delivery of its 115hp electric motor.

Hyundai electric car running costs

Driving a used Hyundai electric car for sale is all about the low running costs, and it all starts with charging. Take advantage of a cheap off-peak electricity rate at home to maximise your savings.

You might also notice that servicing and maintenance costs could drop compared to a combustion Hyundai, because electric Hyundais feature fewer moving parts, so there’s less to go wrong.

Hyundai electric car technology

There’s a lot of technology crammed into all Hyundai electric cars for sale, starting with battery tech. Many of its bigger models feature 800V battery architecture, which enables lightning-fast charging that also helps prevent battery degradation.

You also get plenty of driver aids, such as adaptive cruise control and a steering aid to make sure you don’t creep out of your lane on the motorway.

Besides that, the cabin is filled with tech, including multi-display setups with digital instrument clusters and intuitive infotainment displays, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, heating for the seats and steering wheel and even cooled seats in higher trim levels.
