What is the Ford Puma ST?

ST, which stands for Sports Technologies, is the name given to Ford’s quickest models. Previously, it was a popular version of the Fiesta and Focus, but Ford has also introduced a Puma ST.

Every Ford Puma ST for sale comes with a powerful engine, though there are two options available, and a great steering and suspension setup to add to the engaging feel.

What are the Ford Puma ST specs?

The quickest version of the Ford Puma ST comes with the same 1.5-litre three-cylinder EcoBoost engine as the Fiesta ST, which produces 200hp.

More recently, Ford announced a mild hybrid version of its popular 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine, with an astonishing 170hp, which is a lot of power to get out of such a small engine. It comes with a smooth-shifting dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The 200hp model can do 0-62mph in 6.7 seconds, which is only slightly slower than the smaller Fiesta ST. A 1.0-litre Puma ST does the same acceleration sprint in 7.4 seconds.

Every Ford Puma ST for sale comes with a sporty bodykit, including large alloy wheels, tweaked bumper designs, and plenty of ST badges.

They also get LED headlights, all-around parking sensors, heated front seats with a heated steering wheel, an upgraded B&O sound system and a heated windscreen to make de-icing in the winter months less of a chore.

As well as an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the Puma ST also comes with a digital instrument cluster.

ST is the highest trim level you can get for the Ford Puma, and you’re limited to the most powerful engine options.
