What is the Ford Mondeo Titanium?

A Ford Mondeo Titanium is a step above your regular Mondeo, which means it comes with more equipment designed to keep you comfortable behind the wheel.

It’s also an incredibly versatile model because you can get a saloon body style with a hatchback boot, one with a more traditional saloon-style boot opening, and an estate.

Although Ford stopped selling the Mondeo in 2022, you should be able to find plenty of second-hand Mondeo Titanium cars because they were so popular.

What are the Ford Mondeo Titanium specs?

Engine choice is pretty impressive when it comes to buying a used Mondeo Titanium because you can take your pick of three fuel types, including a 2.0-litre petrol hybrid with 187hp.

Petrol power comes in the form of a 160hp 1.5-litre engine or a 2.0-litre engine with 240hp, but it’s the diesel engines that make it such an excellent long-distance cruiser.

They’re all 2.0-litre units but come with a variety of power outputs including 150hp, 180hp and 210hp. They’re generally more efficient than the hybrid in the real world.

Used Ford Mondeo Titanium features and equipment

Titanium is a mid-spec trim level, so it comes with more than the basic kit, which includes Ford’s intuitive eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system and dual-zone climate control.

Buying a Titanium version should get you automatic lights and wipers, front and rear parking sensors and adaptive cruise control, depending on the model year.

Some of the available optional extras include adaptive LED headlights, a reversing camera, heated seats, a heated steering wheel and an upgraded Sony sound system.

Where the Mondeo Titanium sits in the Ford range

Titanium is generally considered a high trim level, but because it’s so affordable used, it’s much better value than an entry-level Style or Zetec model.

Later on, Ford introduced higher-spec Titanium X trims, but on earlier cars, Titanium X was considered an optional package. There are also plusher Vignale models.

ST-Line and ST-Line X cars come with similar equipment to Titanium cars, but they have a sportier style.
