What is the Ford Fiesta Active X?

A used Fiesta Active X is a high-spec version of the Fiesta Active, which is a regular Fiesta that has 21mm more ground clearance for tackling slightly muddy tracks.

As well as that mechanical difference, every Fiesta Active X for sale comes with a rugged-looking bodykit that gives it the look of a small crossover.

What are the Ford Fiesta Active X specs?

Engine choice for a used Ford Fiesta Active X is pretty limited, but that’s not a bad thing because you’re limited to one of the best 1.0-litre engines around.

The EcoBoost engine produces either 100hp, 125hp, or 155hp, and feels spritely while still achieving up to 50mpg on a long trip.

There are a few variants – for example, you can pick from a manual or a smooth-shifting dual-clutch automatic. Newer models also come with mild hybrid tech to reduce emissions, ensuring you have a low car tax bill.

Used Ford Fiesta Active X features and equipment

Although it was only on sale for a few years, a few upgrades were introduced, including a slightly better-specced Ford Fiesta Active X Edition.

As a rule of thumb, you can expect an upgraded B&O sound system, keyless entry and start, faux leather seats and ambient lighting.

You also get rear parking sensors, cruise control and an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Where the Fiesta Active X sits in the Ford range

Active X and Active X Edition sit above Active and Active Edition, and offer similar levels of kit to Active 1 and Active Vignale.

Ford has three distinct routes when it comes to choosing a Fiesta – besides rugged-looking Active models, there are premium-feeling Titanium and Titanium X versions, as well as sporty-looking ST-Line and ST-Line X cars.

They’re all based on the entry-level Trend model, but add their own distinctive elements. There are also high-spec Vignale cars and, of course, the Ford Fiesta ST hot hatch.
