What types of used Citroen e-C4 cars are there?
There are a few different Citroen e-C4 trims to choose from, depending on the spec you’re after.

Citroen e-C4 history
Despite the C4 launching in 2004, the all-electric e-C4 didn’t appear until 2021 with the third generation of the standard model.
Since then, it’s remained the same with only a few minor design and feature tweaks.
What features does the Citroen e-C4 have?
Being a respected family car, the Citroen e-C4 is well-equipped in all trim levels and means you won’t be left wanting more.
It comes with three different drive modes for starters: Normal, Eco and Sport. This means you change it up to suit your mood or your drive.
You also get a range of nifty onboard features such as parking sensors, electric parking brake, digital driver’s display, automatic A/C and the usual smartphone connectivity options.
Is the Citroen e-C4 reliable?
Citroens tend to score well in terms of reliability, and this is reflected in the e-C4. Being electric, it should also be more dependable than a petrol or diesel car as there are fewer moving parts to go wrong.
As long as you keep up with regular maintenance (which isn’t that often with an EV), there shouldn’t be any problems.
When Euro NCAP last tested the C4 in 2021, it scored four out of five stars which is very respectable considering the stricter rules now applied to these safety tests.
How much does the Citroen e-C4 cost to run?
Citroen’s e-C4 is available with either a 50kW battery or a larger 54kWh battery in top-spec models.
As a rule of thumb, it’ll take eight hours to charge it to 100% using a 7kW and around 20 minutes to charge it to 80% using a 150kW charger.
The actual cost will range depending on where and when you charge, but it’ll roughly be 8p/kWh at home and up to 80p/kWh at a fast charger.
Who is the Citroen e-C4 suitable for?
A used Citroen e-C4 is the perfect car for those making the switch to electric – it feels like petrol-powered but it’s lovely and quiet.
