What is the Audi A3 Cabriolet S Line?

The Audi A3 Cabriolet is a mid-sized convertible model based on the saloon version of the A3, which means it’s a great pick for anyone who values style but needs to carry around more than just one passenger.

S Line is a desirable trim because you get some extra bits of equipment and styling inspired by the performance S3 Cabriolet.

There aren’t many cars like this, so you'll get a degree of exclusivity and the premium appeal of those four rings on the bonnet.

What are the Audi A3 Cabriolet S Line specs?

Engine choice is great, but the 116hp 1.6-litre diesel is slightly disappointing given the sporty nature of this car. It’s not very powerful, but it does have excellent fuel economy figures if you spend a lot of time on the motorway.

You can also have 150hp engines, which offer a good balance. They come in the form of a 2.0-litre diesel unit and a 1.5-litre petrol unit. The latter can shut down half the engine under light loads to save fuel.

Fans of power will enjoy the 190hp 2.0-litre petrol, which suits this car. There’s also an 184hp 2.0-litre diesel – the same engine as the Volkswagen Golf GTD.

Used Audi A3 Cabriolet S Line features and equipment

The latest generation of A3 Cabriolet went on sale in 2012, but newer models generally come with more equipment and car tech and are therefore more desirable.

For example, the newest models come with LED headlights, cruise control, rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control and a seven-inch retractable infotainment display that works with Bluetooth.

If you fancy more car tech, look out for cars specced with optional extras such as matrix LED headlights that automatically adjust to prevent blinding oncoming traffic, heated front seats, adaptive cruise control, a reversing camera and keyless entry.

The Audi A3 Cabriolet is designed to be a sporty model, so you can only get it with the highest trim levels – Sport and S Line.

For a period, Audi also sold an affordable SE model, but while it comes with similar levels of equipment to the Sport, it’s not much cheaper.
