SE has been the name given to Audi’s most affordable trim levels, though there have also been entry-level Technik models and SE Technik cars, so look out for those if the A1 SE is in short supply.

Because the higher trim levels are focused on adding more style, an Audi A1 SE offers a lot of bang for your buck.

What are the Audi A1 SE specs?

The engines you’ll have access to depend on which model year you want. For second-generation 2018-onward cars, there’s only a 116hp 1.0-litre petrol, badged 30 TFSI.

If you’re looking at older first-generation models, you can have a 95hp 1.0-litre petrol or a 116hp 1.6-litre diesel.

The engine options are fine, and they suit most drivers, but if you’re after something with a bit more power, you’ll need to consider higher trim levels.
