What types of used Vauxhall Insignia cars are there?

The Vauxhall Insignia first launched in 2008 and has undergone many successful facelifts since then, but was discontinued in 2022 to favour electric hatchbacks and SUVs.  

This is a spacious family car that can easily seat up to five people with enough space for luggage in the boot.  

It's also good to drive and economical to run – which is now more important than ever.    

However, this vehicle isn’t just aimed at families – it's also well suited to working professionals looking for a solid executive vehicle to commute in.  

Another of the Insignia's attractive features is its spacious boot, which extends into extra cabin storage space in the cockpit.

What’s good about the Vauxhall Insignia is that you don’t need to spend the big bucks to get a solid set of features.  

The entry-level Insignia SE is well equipped and comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors, cruise control, climate control and mobile phone connectivity, along with a seven-inch infotainment system complete with sat-nav, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.    

Some of the higher-specification model variants come with heated steering wheels, heated seats and a sunroof.  

Vauxhall is always working on improving the Insignia, and one of the main elements it has excelled in is ride quality.    

The Insignia is smooth at lower speeds and remains composed when at higher speeds. Even on the motorway, the Insignia is smooth, quiet, and – most importantly – very economical.

Is the Vauxhall Insignia reliable?

Modern-day Vauxhalls are very reliable cars, more so with the brand’s previous ties to the PSA Group and current ties with Stellantis (as of 2021).
